Colour: Pale Straw with vibrant lemon and lime hues.
Bouquet: Vibrant perfumes of passionfruit, lychee, freshly sliced Bartlett pear with a hint of sugar snap peas.
Palate: Beautiful balance between clean fruit flavours of pear and lychee, lemon sorbet and a hint of stone fruit. Succulent natural
acidity and generous textures reveal the purity and freshness of this wine. Superb with seafood, lighter style mediterannean dishes and
Asian cuisine.
Winemaking: Low temperature fermentation in stainless steel using a sympathetic yeast were selected to optimise fruit purity.
Vintage: The 2009 Southern Margaret River Vintage is one of the classic Margaret River Vintages. Following excellent growing
seasons in 2007 and 2008, the 2009 season could only be described as perfect with kind weather extending until Harvest
producing moderate yields with excellent intensity of fruit flavour and acid structure. John’s Block Sauvignon Blanc was harvested
on 10th March 2009 whilst the Old Block Semillon was harvested on 17th March 2009.
Vineyard Topography: Located in the Southern Margaret River Region adjacent to the Chapman Brook and National Forests. Our
vineyards are planted on gently undulating North Facing slopes, in classic grape loving Margaret River Gravel Loam Soils.
