Colour: Deep red, with crimson hue

Bouquet: Aromas of ripe berries, plums and black currants, with a hint of oak.

Palate: Full tannins which gently melt into a compote of dark red berry fruits, supported by succulent acidity and
fine oak. Ideal accompaniment to grilled meats, rich pasta dishes and strongly flavoured cheeses.

Winemaking: Each vineyard parcel was vinified and matured separately utilising premium French Oak. The
individual fruit parcels were blended in late October 2008, and then allowed to finish maturation as a final blend allowing seamless integration of fruit flavours in the wine.

Vintage: The 2008 Vintage was as close to Perfect as is possible with kind warm weather and excellent sunlight
exposure over the growing season culminating in final harvest of fruit only two days before a massive hail storm hit
the region. Kathy’s Block was harvested on Saturday the 5th of April, while the Old Block was harvested on Sunday, 13th
of April.
