Verdelho - 2010
VINTAGE
2010 was an almost perfect season in McLaren Vale. Good winter rainfall and an even, mild ripening season meant fruit was able to reach a peak maturity and develop ripe varietal flavours in most varieties.

Ageing potential – Perfect drinking now but should also cellar well for a couple of years.
WINEMAKING
Picked early to preserve natural acid from the fruit, crushed and pressed immediately upon arrival at the winery to reduce phenolic extraction. Fermented at 14-16’C to maintain the fresh fruit characters. Stabilised and filtered just prior to bottling with no oak influence in the wine at all to highlight the unique Verdelho character. And bottled as soon as possible to preserve the freshness and fruit character of the wine.
