Pinot Grigio - 2011
Grigio means grey in Italian and refers to the fruit of this variety having a dusty grey colour. It is a cool climate grape and therefore the Yarra Valley is one of the better locations in Australia to produce a wine with the same zesty characters as from its origin. The fruit was hand-picked and then cool tank fermented on lees to create a lively fresh wine with texture that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with food.
Fresh lifted floral aromatics of citrus blossom and fig. The palate is traditional ‘Grigio’ in style being crisp andincorporating good acidity. The wine remains textural and balanced in structure with a refreshing finish.
