Riesling - 2008
Winemakers Tasting Note
Classically classic – this wine delivers an impressive intensity of fruit in the glass that jumps out to greet an invading nose. The lack of humidity works in our favour allowing ripening to continue until the winemaker is satisfied with the flavours. The fruit was carefully hand harvested, de-stemmed, crushed and gently pressed to tank for cold settling. The 2008 Lamont Classic Riesling is a vibrant mouth filling wine with lifted lime and lemon zest. The palate is luscious with wonderful flavours of citrus, passionfruit and has a fantastic underlying mineral component. Lovely drinking now, this wine will continue to develop and impress over the next few years.
