Thomas Vineyard Estate have plenty of medals to hang on the Christmas tree this year

2008 has been a very good year for Merv & Dawne Thomas. Their vineyard, established in 1998, has only been producing under their own label, Thomas Vineyard Estate, since their 2004 vintage.

They won several awards earlier this year, but more recently the following awards have been achieved:

2004 Reserve Shiraz - Bronze Medal in the 2008 International Wine & Spirits Fair in London.

2005 Reserve Shiraz - Gold Medal & 4th in the 2008 Visy Great Australian Shiraz Challenge - there were only five Gold Medals Awarded in the Top 50. 2005 Shiraz - Silver Medal in the 2008 Royal Adelaide Wine Show and the 2008 McLaren Vale Wine Show.

And finally, the 2006 Shiraz (yet to be released!) won a Bronze medal in the 2008 Royal Melbourne Wine Show - this was the first show this wine has been entered in and early indications are that it is as good as the 2004 Shiraz. It is due for release early in 2009 and we expect interest in this wine to be high.
