SOUMAH’s success continues with the Savarro 2010

Winning best aromatic unwooded at the Fed Square Annual Wine Awards 2011

Last Wednesday evening the Annual Federation Square Wine Awards were held featuring more than 100 wines from 30 wineries. Soumah from the Yarra Valley took part in which the Savarro 2010 (Savagnin variety) was in the running for an award in the aromatic category. All involved in the winery were thrilled to receive the award for Best White Aromatic (unwooded) for the very popular Savarro 2010.

This event is in its eighth year and continues to gain in popularity not only with the wineries taking part but with wine savvy consumers who know what they like and enjoy the opportunity to meet the winemakers in person. It also gives consumers the chance to provide valuable feedback to the wineries about their products, branding and events in the market.

Also on tasting at the event were the SOUMAH Chardonnay 2010, Savarro 2011 and Pinot Grigio 2011. At this early stage it seems as though the second release of the Savarro will maintain the same high quality and interest as the current vintage. We look forward to introducing these new vintage wines and new release (Pinot Grigio) later this month.

With the much anticipated arrival of spring, the new release Pinot Grigio and new vintage Savarro will be a welcome addition to the range from SOUMAH!

Cheers Sarah
