Selador Wines extends distribution to New South Wales
Published: 15/10/2007
To coincide with Wine & Spirits Australia last month, all wineries within the portfolio spent a week in Sydney for this three day event from 24th – 26th September, at Darling Harbour. In addition each winery spent time with our new marketing representatives Tim and Daniel.
Tim Donelan comes to us with a wealth of industry contacts, a strong track record in wine marketing and sales, and organisational skills that give me a run for my money!
Daniel Morris compliments the team with first class on-premise experience and a passion for fine wine and great customer service.
Best of the Best Tasting at Wine Vault, Artarmon
During our time in Sydney we offered a ‘Best of the Best’ tasting to specific trade contacts and customers of Wine Vault (a state of the art wine storage facility based in Artarmon, with an active wine club, and regular news and events). We asked each winery to select their two best wines to showcase, and this selection made up a super mixed dozen that was very well received.
Thank you to Warren, Ross and the team at Wine Vault for making us feel very welcome. See www.winevault.com.au for further information on this facility.
A dining experience to remember in Glebe
To wrap up our launch in Sydney, our on-premise guru Daniel, was given the very difficult task (on the final night of the trade fair) of selecting a restaurant for 30 plus winery owners / winemakers and two distributors to un-wind in and do what we like to do best – eat and drink!
So we headed for a’Mews Restaurant (make sure you visit when you are next looking for somewhere special to dine).
The ratio of open bottles (collected from the trade fair) to guests was 3 to 1, and with a five course degustation (all very last minute) ahead of us, we filled two levels of the restaurant and settled in for the evening. The experience was a credit to all involved, especially to owners Richard and Danny Moyser who presented each course as though it had been planned months in advance!
The great thing about a’Mews is that the menu and wine list evolve on a daily basis, so there is always a reason to go back. If you are tempted, have a sneak preview at:
