As we deliver the last case of wine before Santa makes his annual appearance, we just wanted to wish all our avid supporters, both trade and consumer, all the best for Christmas and the New Year.
Aimed at developing the profile, quality and innovation in winemaking of Riesling wine styles the Hyatt National Riesling Challenge is held annually. Riesling from around the world is judged by a selection of winemakers, wine merchants and media, from Australia and overseas.
The Domaine George Michel La Reserve Pinot Noir 2005 (yet to be released) has just been selected for Qatar Airways First Class. The wine will go onboard in October 2007.
September 2007 saw the launch of their La Reserve range in Melbourne, which will be available in select restaurants only. The wines have been well received and the range will soon be on a number of summer wine lists around Melbourne.
In August 2007 the Domaine Georges Michel Golden Mile Pinot Noir 2006 was awarded a gold medal at the Winewise Small Vigneron Awards 2007 in Australia.
Now that we have two NZ wineries in our portfolio we decided it was time to venture across the Tasman Sea and pay them a visit. After all, we have visited our Australian wineries, and even participated in vintage with one or two of them.
Thomas Vineyard Estate's Reserve Shiraz 2004 from McLaren Vale, South Australia, has been awarded a Blue-Gold at the Sydney International Wine Competition 2007.
