Each winemaker has a unique story, and each winery covers a different region. Lamont Wines is a family owned, boutique Central Otago winery specialising in Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Riesling, producing their first vintage in 2003. The vineyard is situated on 30 acres in the sub-region of Bendigo, on the site of a historic gold mining town. The vineyards consist of two blocks, less than 1 mile apart. Situated on the 45th parallel South, less than 400,000 people live in this strip around the globe. This reflects an absence of pollution and disease pressure, allowing the grapes to flourish. |
